Teacher Information
Purpose: This WebQuest was designed to inspire your students to dig deeper into the American Revolution and summarize their knowledge in a creative manner.

This WebQuest is utilized by both the Honors and regular Language Arts classes, with the modification that the Honors students will be required to adhere to stricter guidelines for the activity and be responsible for arguing the British/Loyalist side of the argument.

Civics-Government
Standard 1: The student uses a working knowledge and understanding of governmental systems of Kansas and the United States and other nations with an emphasis on the United States Constitution, the necessity for the rule of law, the civic values of the American people, and the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of becoming active participants in our representative democracy.

Literature Standard 2:
The student responds to a variety of text.

Reading Standard 1:
The student reads and comprehends text across the curriculum.

Writing Standard 1:
The student writes effectively for a variety of audiences, purposes, and contexts.

Theatre Standard 1:
Developing Scripts: the student knows how to improvise dialogue to tell stories.

Theatre Standard 2:
Directing Theatrical Activities: the student recognizes how to collaborate with peers to produce a classroom dramatization.
